Previously, we had a queen daybed in our playroom which was great for guests, but considering the amount of time it wasn't in use, we wanted to create more space for the majority of the time. However, we still wanted the ability to have a guest (grandma) sleep over. The LiftBed is perfect. We have the twin horizontal in white. I assembled all by myself - it probably took 3-4 hours total. The bed comes in two large, heavy packages - it's easiest to remove all of the pieces from the box outside or in your garage, and then bring the pieces in (that part probably takes a good 20 minutes at least). Overall, assembly instructions were clear. My only suggestion would be for the instructions to include a tip about how to secure the pieces together with the connector screws. I found that you had a give a slight turn to the connector screw in the opposite direction first, which once I discovered that it went much faster. The only other small gripes are that the paint job was not amazing, so there were a few minor areas that needed touch up. My other gripe is that I don't love the sticky connector covers - a couple have fallen off and I feel like the rest of the piece is so well made and it feels like there should be a better option there. I would like to call out the customer service who was exceptional! They communicated with me over email when I was missing a piece for the matress strap and told them about the paint - they send a replacement piece and white paint marker in a few days…
