Actually, it just might be the best Murphy bed anyone's ever made. With a combination of innovative features, modular functionality, and effortless operation, we think you'll agree: if you need a Murphy bed, the Lori Bed is the best choice, hands (and beds) down.
The Lori Bed’s double-chamber gas-piston mechanism makes the bed easy to lift, and safe and smooth to lower.
We designed an all-new, secure wall-mounting system for the Lori Bed, plus a mechanism that can be locked in both the open and closed positions, for the safety of kids, pets, and everyone you care about.
The available desk and shelves stay level as you lift and lower the Lori Bed. No need to remove your items. Order them now, or add them later.
We make each piece of the Lori Bed ourselves, from real plywood, powder-coated steel, and durable woodgrain finishes.
The Lori Bed can grow along with you, by adding a desk for work and shelves for storage. And coming late 2024, you’ll be able to add modular cabinets alongside your Lori Bed as needed to fit your space.
The Lori Bed has a cutout to accommodate your baseboards; many other brands require the removal of a section of baseboard.
If you have less-than-perfect floors and walls, the Lori Bed can easily be leveled from inside the cabinet, even after installation.

We offer the Lori Bed in both Vertical and Horizontal orientations, depending on your preferences and space constraints.
Vertical beds are the traditional orientation, and guests can get in and out from either side.
Horizontal beds are a good choice if your ceiling height is lower, or if you don’t want the bed to stick out as far into the room when it’s open.
Yes, you don’t need a professional to assemble or install a Lori Bed. Each step is simple and is clearly shown in our assembly instructions and step-by-step videos. The process takes a few hours, and it helps to have a second set of hands here and there, but you don’t need any special skills or tools.
The Lori Bed works with any mattress up to 10 inches thick. We calibrated the lifting mechanism of the Lori Bed to match the weight of The Lori Mattress, which weighs about 50lbs for a Twin and 80lbs for a Queen. Your bed will work best if you choose the Lori Mattress, or one of similar weight.
The Lori Bed must be anchored to the wall for safety, but we designed the process to be as simple as possible. Just anchor the rear mounting plate into three studs with two screws each. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. There is no need to screw into the floor or remove your baseboards, like many of our competitors.
If you have masonry or concrete walls, you’ll need to supply the proper anchors for your application. The Lori Bed cannot be mounted to drywall only.
