We searched around a lot for the perfect Murphy bed to put into our nursery in our two bedroom Brooklyn apartment. We are so happy we chose a Lori bed because the quality and price have been unmatched. It came in four massive boxes which my husband needed help to carry and together he and my dad installed it over the course of about six hours. Now that it’s installed, it looks amazing and feels super safe and sturdy. Would recommend to any Murphy bed shoppers out there!

We just moved cross country into our ‘dream home’. The house’s only flaw? It didn’t have an extra bedroom for guests (which we have frequently). We considered a $75,000 addition to add an extra bedroom (the architecture of the home required a 2-story addition), but decided to set up our open rec room space as an optional guest ‘room’ for less than 10% of that cost. We are so happy we decided to order the Lori Bed and Lori Mattress. Here is what we love: (1) Fast shipping! I was shocked that the bed arrived less than 48 hours after ordering, (2) Easy assembly and quality material. I have a back injury, so we did hire a local handyman to assemble and anchor the bed. He told me that he had done several Murphy bed projects lately and the Lori Bed was by far the easiest to install and had the best quality he had seen, (3) Looks great and allows for optimal functionality! I am so happy with how our rec room turned out. We added ceiling mounted curtains to enclose the space and a couple of arm chairs. The space is so functional- we can use it to watch movies, clear it out for exercise, and host guests. All while being aesthetically pleasing (see pictures). We are very excited for the modular cabinets to be released and plan to add some either side. We highly recommend this product!

We are very happy with the Lori Bed. The boxes arrived undamaged and extremely well packaged but quite heavy. The parts seem to be high quality which is probably why the boxes were so heavy. Two people were needed to carry the boxes to the room in which it was to be assembled. I also needed some help unboxing the heavy parts and laying them out.

I am a 74 year old woman who follows directions to the letter. It took me almost a 1/2 day to lay out the parts and count and check off all pieces to be sure nothing was missing. This process was helpful in that it familiarized me with all the parts. I watched the video several times and also read through the instruction booklet several times before starting. I set aside a weekend with no interruptions to attack the assembly and it took almost the whole two days but as I said, I am careful to follow instructions and referred to the video and booklet continually. The small parts were carefully packaged and labeled according to the step in which they would be used. This was extremely helpful and very well thought out. Other parts had large numbered labels. Even the boxes had clear labels telling what was inside along with a diagram showing what the pieces would look like once assembled.

I did need my husband's help during a few of the steps - the instruction booklet recommended a second person would be needed so he was "on call." You definitely do need a second person so have someone handy for these steps. I also needed him to…

Our Lori bed is absolutely stunning! We needed a murphey bed that was less than 90" tall and we wanted a vertical bed. There wasn't anything on Wayfair or Amazon with the proper dimensions. After some Google searching we stumbled upon the Lori bed! The dimensions were perfect for our basement and the quality of the materials are amazing. We bought the shelf and desk combo and I love the floating shelves. I also really loved all the safety features and key lock for extra security around little ones. The gas pistons are so smooth and I can easily open and close the bed myself. Our guests have been very impressed with it! I had my contractor put together the bed for me, so I cannot attest to the ease of installation. Definitely a two person job though!

Was pretty straight forward to assemble, and quite well designed. We painted ours to match the walls and it looks great. (Maybe a paintable option in the future.) Our verticle queen fits into our low ceiling room and was the best option for us. Great hardware kit as well.
