Made the plunge for my Lori Bed in order to get my cluttered desk/office area out of the foyer of the house. We just had a queen guest bed in our guest room that was only used 2-3 times a year. Wanted to still have a guest room available for out-of-towners, but this was the best solution. Have only had a couple of months now, but I am very impressed with the build quality. Instruction manual combined with the videos on YouTube made assembling less painful. It is a beast to assemble, but worth it in the long run. Love the desk and shelf combo. The desk is the perfect size and height. Great customer service when I broke a board by accident. Can't wait to have this in my guest room/office for the next 30+ years.

I purchased the Lori Bed for my ADU, and it has been an excellent choice. The quality of the bed is outstanding, and the design makes it perfect for maximizing space. Since I only need the bed when my mom visits a couple of times a year, I love how easily I can raise it to create an open area for my kid’s indoor playground.

I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the mattress — it’s much better than I expected for a Murphy bed. It’s sturdy, easy to operate, and a great solution for small spaces. Highly recommend!

We had a handyman put the bed together. He said that it was a fun project. It took him 6.5 hours. My husband and I needed to help just lift the platform hinges into the box hinge fittings. We added our own IKEA mattress that we had on hand. I tested it with a nap and it was very satisfying. I would like to add rechargeable magnetic base reading lights on the inside of the box and perhaps some art on the inside “ceiling” of the box and/or art on the wall inside the box.

Our first guests will be testing it out for 4 nights so I’m eager to hear what they think. I didn’t have time to glamorize the bedding but put it together with what I had on hand.

I added a thick folding pad in the 6” space at the head to put the bed pillows against. I just hate it when a pillow slides off a bed while I’m sleeping, which happens when a bed isn’t close enough to a wall. I understand that the space needs to be there for function but I wonder if something could be provided to close up that space when the bed is going to be used.

I love the safety features and can feel confident telling my guests about the locks to keep the bed from folding when it should not. I love the stop before fully folding into the box. As I get older, I believe that this feature will be especially helpful. I’m not crazy about the look of the key lock. Could the lock be recessed with a cover as an option for the owner to close? Someone like myself might want to store the key elsewhere, rather than in the lock, anyway.…

The bed itself is super comfortable, which is absolutely baseline. On top of that, we really love that. It's easy to open and close and that there are a ton of safety mechanisms. For instance, the bed doesn't fall on you when you're opening it, it stops halfway through. There's a way to lock the bed in place, and it also just looks great in the space. Also, really neat is the fact that you don't actually need to remove everything off of the desk shelves when you open it.

We live in a cozy city apartment with 2 young kids. Installing the Lori Bed allowed us to open up the primary bedroom with space and convert it to a second home office, which we desperately had needed. The material and look are top quality look. With Lori Bed, we're able to extend our current residence in the neighborhood we love.

As others mentioned, Lori Bed is HEAVY and the mounting is no joke. We ended up hiring 2 people to install and mount, which took them 10+ hours and cost a pretty penny. Still an amazing investment!
