Mattress Requirements

You can use any mattress you’d like! There are just a couple of things to keep in mind:

Maximum thickness of 12": Choose a mattress that is 12” thick or less to ensure it can close properly.

Go light with your mattress! Recommended maximum weight of 80lb for Queen and 50lb for Twin. Since you will manually operate this Murphy bed, keep in mind that even an extra 10-20lbs on your mattress can make a big difference in how heavy it will feel. The lighter the better!

      Our Murphy beds and other products are usually in-stock and ready to ship within 1-2 business days. FedEx orders typically arrive 3 to 7 business days after they ship. Larger orders that ship by freight typically take 3 to 5 business days to process and 7 to 10 business days in transit, with delivery by appointment. Any pre-order or backordered products will show the expected shipping date before you place your order.

      Most Lori Beds orders ship via FedEx and arrive at your property like any other online delivery. There's no delivery window to book, and no one needs to come into your home. Larger or multi-item orders ship by LTL freight instead, and the carrier will contact you to schedule a drop-off appointment.

      You don’t need a professional to assemble or install a Lori Bed. Each step is clearly shown in our assembly instructions and step-by-step videos. The process takes 6-8 hours (or a full day) for two people, but you don’t need any special skills or tools.
